AI enabled Cloud Communications Platform Dialpad secured $10 Million

Dialpad

Dialpad Inc, a California-based AI-powered cloud communication platform has now secured a $10 million investment from SoftBank Corp.

Dialpad is founded by Craig Walker in the year 2002. It offers a patented Voice Intelligence solution that enables Artificial Intelligence-powered real-time business optimization, automated note-taking, delivered through coaching, and transcription analytics.

Executive Opinion

Craig Walker, CEO of Dialpad, said, "Today’s pandemic has accelerated the inevitable move to the cloud and the work from anywhere movement for business communications by at least 10 years, requiring companies to expedite digital operations and deploy smarter, more efficient cloud communication tools. Dialpad’s AI-powered single platform for voice, video, and messaging allows remote employees and contact center agents to be productive from anywhere, and have real-time insights that enhance their productivity. Our deepening partnership with SoftBank will accelerate innovation and bring our best-in-class communications tools to more companies in Japan and the broader APAC region, helping them build stronger businesses."

Kunihiro Fujinaga, Senior Vice President at SoftBank Corp.’s Enterprise Business Unit, said, "Voice Intelligence is an untapped technology that can revolutionize the future of work. Unfortunately, as The Statistics Bureau, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications points out, 98% of voice calls are not fully digitalized or utilized. When voice is integrated with other cloud applications, users can learn from every conversation and gain new levels of efficiency. Together with Dialpad, we will continue to advance digital communications and elevate productivity and data insights to new heights."

Dialpad's Latest Funding

Dialpad supports integrations with multiple softwares which includes Zendesk, Microsoft Office 365, Salesforce, Google G Suite, and others. Its client base includes Motorola Solutions, Domo, Uber, WeWork, Twitter, Netflix, and others.

Dialpad is working with SoftBank since four years. SoftBank has previously joined a $100 million Series E funding round backed by the OMERS Growth Equity. To date, Dialpad has secured $250 million at a valuation of $1.2 billion.

The latest funding will be leveraged to further drive business growth in Japan along with the greater APAC region, notes the announcement.
