Tech Mahindra, India's CET, Bhubaneswar to Setup AI Center of Excellence

Tech Mahindra has signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) with the College of Engineering and Technology(CET), Bhubaneswar, India to set up a Centre of Excellence(COE) for the Artificial Intelligence Technologies.

The CoE will train college graduates in the field of Artificial Intelligences, notes the announcement.

The new agreement will give access to some of the latest technologies like the Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, which could be applied in daily life.

The platform will help the students to grow and understand the needs and the issues faced by the industries and organizations. The prototype solutions will further help in solving the issues faced by government organizations and local industries.

President, Corporate Affairs and Business Head, APAC, Tech Mahindra, Sujit Baksi, said, "We aim to co-create smart solutions for the future by leveraging next-generation technologies like AI. The state-of-the-art CoE will help tap the immense potential of the students to address the evolving technology needs of local industries, besides significantly improving their skills and future employability. It will also help in fostering a culture of innovation to deliver a superior experience to our customers globally."

Commissioner and Secretary, Skill Development and Technical Education Department, Government of Odisha, India, Sanjay Kumar Singh, said, "This unique collaboration between Tech Mahindra and CET will be a big step forward in building joint capabilities for the local industries and the state of Odisha, in the area of AI. The CoE will be a catalyst in implementing new-age technologies in various sectors and will help us design cutting-edge solutions for the future."

Tech Mahindra and Emerging Technologies

Tech Mahindra is more focused on using the next generation technologies like Blockchain, AI, cybersecurity, Internet of Things, 5G to disrupt and enable the digital transformation, as a part of its TechMNxt Chapter.

Tech Mahindra also recently announced the launch of its enterprise Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence lifecycle management platform GAiA 2.0, supported by the Acumos.

In September, Tech Mahindra expanded its partnership with AT&T Communications to modernize their network systems and cloud migration operations.

Tech Mahindra earlier partnered with the Netherland based Quantoz, which is a blockchain-based solution provider, to provide the blockchain as a service for the secure digital payments.

This month Tech Mahindra has opened up its new 5G development center in Timisoara, Romania.
