DE-CIX India and Yotta Infrastructure to provide Internet Peering Services

DE-CIX

DE-CIX, a Germany based data center neural internet exchange, has now collaborated with the local data center infrastructure solutions provider Yotta infrastructure to install a new point of presence at Yotta’s NM1 Park in Panvel, near Mumbai.

The PoP, which is an Artificial demarcation point between communicating entities, is expected to provide better network performance, internet peering, and low latency services to internet service providers in India and abroad.

Executive Opinion

Sunil Gupta, Co-founder, and CEO at Yotta Infrastructure, said, "The last two years have sent digital transformation into hyperdrive. E-commerce and digital platforms have seen a surge, with an increase in the consumption of video and on-demand content services. Rising remote workspaces and accelerated migration to hybrid multi-cloud environments have increased data traffic. This calls for the creation of a resilient digital infrastructure that maximises network performance while enabling reliable data transfer and seamless end-user interaction for enterprises."

Sudhir Kunder, Country Director – India at DE-CIX India, said, "Interconnecting Data Center infrastructure has the potential to accelerate the country’s Internet growth. Data centres have evolved into the central storage hubs of India’s digital economy, and they are now omnipresent for platforms and applications. And central to the seamless functioning of these applications and delivery of content is interconnection, which is why IXs like DE-CIX, which live in data centres, make themselves at home in highly interconnected data centers to nurture digital ecosystems there. Yotta NM1 and DE-CIX India have collaborated to make solutions more Reliable, Resilient, Fast, and Secure, which will immediately benefit enterprises, SMEs and ISPs at large."

DE-CIX India and Yotta Infrastructure Partnership

The partnership is also expected to address low latency edge requirements to allow for last-mile content delivery via a footprint of network nodes across the country.

The DE-CIX’s platform will help Yotta’s clients to access local carriers, internet service providers, application and content providers without the need to establish direct, separate connections with each network.

Some of the cloud providers to which DE-CIX’s DirectCloud provides access are AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and the likes via a single point of contact.
