IBM to buy Madrid based Bluetab to expand Hybrid Data Cloud Service Offerings

IBM is acquiring Madrid based Bluetab Solutions Group. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Bluetab is founded by Tom Uhart in the year 2005. It helps the enterprises to drive more value from their data by transforming their on-premise data and analytics estates to hybrid multi-cloud data platforms with the help of public cloud providers and technologies, which includes the Red Hat OpenShift.

Spain based IT services firm, Bluetab Solutions Group, serves large corporations in Data Management, Data Strategy, Data Cloud, and Data Analytics segments. The firm has an employee strength of 700 data experts, which has its relationships with brands in the energy, telecommunications, banking, and utility industries across Peru, Mexico, Spain, and Colombia.

IBM's Bluetab Acquisition

The acquisition will enable IBM to expand its portfolio of hybrid and data cloud consulting services.

According to the Quince market report, the global data analytics market will reach USD 24.63 billion in 2021. The size of the data analytics market will further grow at a CAGR of 25% till 2030.

Bluetab will become a strategic part of IBM’s data services consulting practice. Bluetab brings expertise in data and cloud migration services such as specialized data strategy, data fabric, and advanced analytics.
