Accenture to drive digital transformation journey for Zydus Wellness


Zydus Wellness has now signed a deal with the Accenture to help with its digital transformation journey.

Zydus, a subsidiary of the pharma giant Cadila Healthcare, is consolidating consumer packages goods best practices from itself as well as Heinz India, which it acquired earlier, to operate as one unified business.

Tarun Arora, Zydus Wellness’s chief executive officer, said, "Following the acquisition of Heinz India, we needed to move quickly to integrate processes and information from both companies into one future-ready platform before our peak sales season. We selected Accenture for its understanding of our industry, technology credentials and impressive track record in delivering enterprise transformation at scale."

Manish Gupta, a managing director at Accenture who leads its Consumer Goods & Services practice in India, said, "Implementing SAP S/4HANA® as part of this transformation initiative is a further demonstration of Zydus Wellness’ commitment to becoming a truly intelligent enterprise that puts the consumer first. We are focused on helping Zydus Wellness bring innovation to market, maximize its business performance, and operate even more efficiently."

Accenture and Zydus Wellness deal

As per the deal, Accenture is going to deploy the latest version of the enterprise resource planning (ERP) software of the German technology giant SAP S/4 HANA.

Accenture revealed that combining end to end infrastructure across all the lines of business and geographies will give Zydus the ability to develop, test, pilot, and roll out innovations at a faster pace.

It also said that the new platform will also help Zydus standardize and improve visibility and operational efficiency across its business.
