Accenture acquires Big Data Analytics firm Byte Prophecy

Byte Prophecy


Accenture has now acquired the Byte Prophecy, an automated insights and big data analytics company based out of Ahmedabad, India. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The deal bolsters Accenture's capabilities in delivering advanced analytics, data, and AI solutions to its clients, notes the announcement.

Byte Prophecy is led by the Mrugank Parikh, Manish Patil, Aditya Vijay Rathore, Darshit Shah in the year 2011. The company offers MonitorFirst, which gives visibility to data, delivers automated insights, and executes optimal planning across the BFSI, Retail, Manufacturing, and Pharmaceuticals industry.

Athina Kanioura, Accenture’s chief analytics officer and global lead for Applied Intelligence, said, “Our team has already been working with Byte Prophecy over the past two years, and together we’ve helped clients build the strong data foundations that are the cornerstone for successful AI adoption. Officially making Byte Prophecy’s people and capabilities part of Accenture is a testament to the shared vision of shared success we’ve seen in our joint efforts.”

The acquisition will add around 50 data engineering and science experts, with a particular focus on insight automation, to Accenture Applied Intelligence.

The deal will help in existing consulting and technology capabilities that allow the customer in areas such as advanced analytics and data foundations.

The acquisition will further allow Accenture to cater to the enterprise-scale AI and digital analytics solutions growth across the region, notes the announcement.
