Wipro join hands with SAP to develop solutions for retail and fashion industry

Wipro revealed that it would co-develop software solutions for the retail and fashion industry with the SAP and jointly market them.

Wipro specializes in SAP S/4HANA Cloud-based retail merchandise management solutions. Both companies intend to develop and deliver innovative solutions to manage business processes and customer experience for the fashion and retail industry.

According to the announcement, the solutions will address critical needs of fashion and retail industry such as order to cash, core finances, supply chain, and procure to pay with multiple channels for promotions and pricing and merchandise.

Global Head of SAP Retail Business Unit, Achim Schneider, said, "SAP Cloud for Retail is our strategic cloud solution, designed to support retail merchandise management, omnichannel pricing and promotions which will help retail and fashion companies capture new opportunities and develop targeted business models in a dynamic market. The industry needs to create responsive, innovative, and integrated solutions to adapt quickly to changing market conditions."

Wipro and SAP partnership for Fashion and Retail Industry

According to the notes, the partnership also plans to address the last-minute issues that come up in the industry by using advanced manufacturing services.

SAP HANA cloud will power smart stores. This will aid fashion companies in letting employees focus more on essential tasks, and automating the less-essential ones, notes the announcement.

The integration with the SAP Cloud Platform will allow the businesses to customize the kinds of things they need to implement in their stores. The partnership intends to address challenges with end-to-end manufacturing planning and execution with last-minute changes.

Last month, Wipro Digital also acquired customer experience firm Rational Interaction.
