Telenet selects Infosys to lead its digitalization

Telenet, a Belgian Telecommunications provider recently selected Infosys as its preferred IT partner for the coming five years.

The latest engagement is a continuation of the 19-year relationship that the IT service firm has with the Telco. During this time, Infosys has helped Telenet in managing the company's legacy IT infrastructure.

In the five year agreement, Infosys will digitally transform Telenet's infrastructure with the help of several digital and data solutions. These digital solutions will help the Telenet in its plan to drive the simplification of its existing infrastructure.

The company will also utilize the Infosys solutions to extract the relevant insights from its generated data and help to streamline its existing IT processes,  the announcement said.

EVP - Global Head of Communications, Media and Technology at Infosys, Anand Swaminathan, said, "Infosys is excited to support Telenet in its journey of transforming into a digital enterprise. For nearly two decades, our partnership has helped Telenet become more agile and responsive to their customers. This digital transformation project will provide Telenet’s employee's access to relevant insights and help them attract and retain customers by delivering fresh digital experiences."

CEO of Telenet, John Porter, said, "Infosys has been a reliable partner for Telenet for many years, and I am delighted about the extension of our collaboration. I am particularly looking forward to the opportunities that this partnership brings to our own digital and data experts."

Telenet's Digital Transformation

Infosys will drive two key initiatives as a part of the program.

First, it will offer an end to end digital and data transformation journey to help the company get more efficient and leaner.

Second, Infosys will bring in more agile methodologies of working to drive the Telenet digital-first strategy.

Telenet expects to significantly save its IT operating costs and structurally reduce the number of existing IT applications as a part of digital transformation, notes the announcement.

A few days back, Infosys had launched Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) Digital Suite for MetricStream Cloud.
