Accenture's latest Cloud Platform to Simulate Cloud Solutions before making Vendor Decisions

Accenture revealed a new cloud platform, myNav to simulate cloud architecture and services before making a cloud migration decisions.

The platform gives organizations a customized roadmap and optimizes costs, notes the announcement.

In June, Accenture published a cloud survey with the opinions of around 200 senior IT executives for their cloud usages. The survey predicted a worldwide cloud spending to reach $565B by 2021. At the same time, it revealed that two-thirds of enterprises did not achieve the expected benefits from their cloud migration journeys.

Executive Opinion

Group chief executive of Accenture Technology Services, Bhaskar Ghosh, said, "We built myNav based on our knowledge repository of more than 30,000 cloud projects and over 80 industry solutions deployed worldwide in nearly every industry. myNav uses this repository to simulate optimal and scalable cloud architectures and solutions. By providing a more informed view and a calibrated cloud strategy for business transformation, myNav helps clients compete more effectively in today’s data-driven, cloud-enabled economy."

myNav Cloud Usecase

The Cloud simulation platform, myNav analyzes the existing infrastructure, applications, operational model, data and business outcomes for an enterprise. Then it makes a recommendation on a cloud deployment strategy.

myNav platform leverages the Artificial Intelligence engine to recommend cloud architecture and solution. The platform taps into Accenture’s library of collective cloud expertise, notes the announcement.

Cloud simulation is another aspect that myNav offers to enterprises.

We haven't come across any such offering in recent time and looks like a value add to enterprises looking to save cost by moving to cloud environments.
