AI model test platform, Bobidi secured $5.8 Million in Seed Funding

Bobidi

Bobidi, a California-based provider of an AI model test platform, has now secured $5.8 million in a seed funding round.

Bobidi was founded by Jeong-Suh Choi and Soohyun Bae in the year 2021. It offers a solution that enables customers to connect AI models to the global bug bounty community with the help of an API in a secure way.

The community can also test models and find biases via a seamless process that reduces the time needed for the validation from months to a couple of weeks, if not days.

Executive Opinion

Michael Yan, Head of Technical Investments at Scrum Ventures, said, "Companies employing AI technologies require vast amounts of data to train and improve their AI models. However, it was previously almost impossible to guarantee that an AI model would perform well in the real world before actually deploying it because of the threat of unknown unknowns. The training and testing data sets may not fully capture the complexity of the problem in the real world. With Bobidi's massive network of testers around the world, companies now have a way to quickly test and validate their AI models by leveraging the power of a global community."

Choi, the founder of Bobidi, said,  "The era of big data is ending and we're about to enter the new era of quality data. In the new era, people are tasked to find the best dataset for helping the model and Bobidi's unique approach of leveraging the global community is already well received by the market."

Bobidi's Latest Funding

The round was backed by Y Combinator, with participation from Hyundai Motors, We Ventures, ZER01NE, Meta, Lotte Ventures, New Product Experimentation, Scrum Ventures and some other angel investors.

The company, as of now, has plans to use the new funds to hire talent who will run the global bug bounty program, build customer insight experiences, and develop several core machine learning technologies.
