AI for industrial operations Datch secured $10 Milion in Series A funding

Datch

Datch, a provider of voice-first AI solutions for industrial operations, has now secured a $10 Million Series A funding round.

Datch was founded by Mark Fosdike. It uses natural language processing to digitize, structure and streamline work management processes for deskless teams.

Throughout their jobs, workers used to interact with the Datch via voice and touch, and the platform handles the rest, interfacing with their systems of record on their behalf.

With offices in the UK, the US and New Zealand, Datch has revealed its latest technology to a growing list of Fortune 500 companies and other industry-leading enterprises in the energy, utilities, mining, manufacturing and aviation sectors.

Executive Opinion

Mark Fosdike, Datch CEO and Co-Founder said, "On top of the industry-wide post-COVID shift to digitization, we are going to see investments from the industrial sector further accelerate with the newly passed Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. And with an aging labor force coming into retirement faster than they’re being replaced, it’s imperative to get Datch into our customers’ hands faster, so they can vastly improve their operational efficiency through the use of a single voice-visual interface."

Melissa Cheong, Blackhorn Ventures Managing Partner, said, "All of us at Blackhorn are thrilled about the opportunity to partner with Datch to leverage natural language processing technology to address the unmet need for much-needed organization and on-the-fly data collection for industrial workers everywhere. Our team believes that through the use of AI, Datch’s product is able to palpably improve the lives of workers both on the front lines and in the back office."

Datch's Latest Funding

The round was backed by Blackhorn Ventures.

The AI startup, as of now, has plans to use the new funds to expand enterprise operations and develop software support, capabilities and tools that will enable increased access and integration with its platform.
