Geminus.AI secured $5.9 Million Seed Round Led by Lam Capital and SK

Geminus

Geminus.AI, a California-based global leader in physics-informed AI, has now secured $5.9 million in a seed funding round.

Geminus.AI was founded by Greg Fallon and Dr Karthik Duraisamy. It offers a platform that combines multiple information sources, such as physics-based simulations and measurement data, to make it possible to create digital twins that can be used to optimize performance and predict the impact of asset degradation and system changes.

Executive Opinion

Dr Karthik Duraisamy, Co-Founder, Chief Science Officer of Geminus, and Professor at the University of Michigan, said, "Our customers report model creation times that are cut from months to days. We regularly see model execution speeds that are 1,000x faster than high-fidelity simulations for a small loss in accuracy. This means engineers can achieve optimal performance fusing all available sources of information."

Jaecheol Lee, Managing Director of the Digital Investment Center at SK Inc, said, "SK Inc. saw great potential in Geminus’ ability to scale the use of AI across various business sectors from energy to biotechnology. Its physics-based approach to AI creates highly accurate predictive models without the need for large data sets or knowledge captured by human domain experts. As Geminus models conform to the laws of physics, they are also fully explainable."

Geminus.AI's Latest Funding

The round was backed by Lam Capital.

Some of the additional investors include Sentiero Ventures and SkyRiver Ventures, who joined the existing investors Darling Ventures and The Hive.

The AI startup, as of now, has plans to use the new funds to drive further enhancement of the physical-informed AI platform and accelerated go-to-market traction.
