TCS launches Enterprise 5G Edge Suite solutions

TCS has now rolled out the enterprise 5G edge suite of solutions with the Microsoft Azure Private Mobile Edge Computing (MEC).

The solution will help businesses to assess their 5G readiness along with offering edge native solutions.

We are delighted to launch the TCS Enterprise 5G Edge suite, which allows enterprises to exploit Microsoft’s private MEC ecosystem and provides the lifecycle capabilities required for applications and smart devices to take advantage of private 5G networks".

Shriraj Gaglani, General Manager, Microsoft Azure for Operators, said, "TCS’ new Enterprise 5G Edge suite, in collaboration with Azure private MEC, helps rapidly deploy private 5G networks and develop new applications for enterprises. We look forward to working with TCS on these opportunities."

As per the official statement, edge native solutions will include quality detection, industrial automation, real-time video surveillance, loss prevention, digital farming, autonomous vehicle management, smart factories, assisted living, and immersive experiences with Augmented and Virtual Reality.

Microsoft also claims that the Azure Private MEC delivers ultra-low latency networking, services and applications at the enterprise edge.

Moreover, TCS claims that the Enterprise 5G Edge suite combines TCS applications with the Azure private MEC solution, which will assist enterprises to gain newfound intelligence at the Edge, thus resulting in the new network-aware and responsive application capabilities.

The offering brings together TCP IP enabled automation driven design, Artificial Intelligence based modeling and simulation, operation of the enterprise 5G edge ecosystem, zero-touch provisioning and the new edge platform, securely integrated with enterprise infrastructure, as per the assertions made by the TCS.
