Vodafone Idea and A5G Networks to enable Smart Cities and Smart Mobile Edge network

Vodafone Idea has recently partnered with the mobile network infrastructure player A5G Networks to offer smart mobile edge computing in India.

Both the partners have already established a private pilot network in Mumbai utilizing the existing 4G spectrum.

Vodafone Idea and A5G Networks Partnership

VI revealed that its association with A5G Networks is in line with its commitment to realize Digital India's dreams with the latter’s 4G, 5G and Wi-Fi autonomous software for distributed networks. A5G Networks software is fully cloud-native containerized software built for multi and hybrid cloud infrastructure.

On similar lines, Bharti Airtel has also recently joined the SEA-ME-WE-6 undersea cable consortium to scale up its high-speed global network capacity to serve India’s fast-growing digital economy.
