Indian Oil

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) company, Automation Anywhere, has now collaborated with the Indian Oil Corporation for the five-year digital transformation deal.

Automation Anywhere is one of the most popular and famous RPA vendors who are offering powerful and user-friendly RPA capabilities to automate the business processes that are performed by humans.

Executive Opinion

Alok Khanna, Executive Director (SIS & IS), who is leading the digital transformation team of IndianOil, said, "We have crowdsourced 50+ ideas through an enterprise-wide 'RPA Botathon' event that saw enthusiastic participation from hundreds of IndianOil employees across businesses and functions. Participants trained to build bots on Automation Anywhere's cutting-edge platform developed multiple bots by the end of this exercise. As a result, we now have a trained pool of resources capable of converting an idea into a bot".

Milan Sheth, executive vice president, IMEA at Automation Anywhere, said, "Energy companies grapple with legacy systems, multiple data sources and manual, repetitive processes that get in the way of driving speed and impact. With our trusted automation platform, we look forward to collaborating with IOCL to unleash automation capabilities across their entire organization and streamline repeatable tasks."

As a part of the first phase, Indian Oil will automate key processes spanning finance, inventory, and human resources using Automation 360, which is Automation Anywhere’s key cloud-native RPA platform, notes the announcement.

With the help of its RPA implementation, Indian Oil looks to improve operating agility, empower employees and connect disparate systems to work efficiently by helping automate repetitive and mundane tasks.
