Sonata Software buys Encore Software to boost its Cloud Engineering Capabilities

Sonata Software has now signed a definitive agreement to acquire a 100% stake in Encore Software Services to boost its cloud capabilities.

As per the regulatory filings, Sonata revealed that Encore is being acquired by Sonata Software's North American subsidiary with a payment of $6.37 million and a deferred payout of $8.25 million. The all-cash transactions are going to be completed within 180 days

Encore offers data insights, user experience, and real-time digital transformation services to its customers in the life science, hi-tech, financial services, logistics, and retail sectors. The company is headquartered in San Jose with a development center in Chennai with magnificent Azure expertise to migrate, deploy, modernize or manage infrastructure, apps, and databases.

Sonata Software's Encore Acquisition

The acquisition will strengthen Sonata Software's presence in the US as well as strengthen its digital transformation capabilities, majorly in application development, cloud engineering, digital test automation, and data management.

Sonata now gets an entry into some new verticals such as logistics and healthcare apart from reinforcing its ISV (Independent Software Vendor) business and Microsoft cloud offerings.
