IoT Big Data platform, Taos Data secured $47 million Series B funding round

Taos Data, a China-based IoT big data platform, has now secured $47 million in a Series B funding round.

Taos Data is founded in 2017. It focuses on a query, storage, analysis, and computation of the time series big data. The company has developed the proprietary IoT big data platform TDengine, which features high performance, zero management, scalability, and high reliability. The community edition of TDengine was open-sourced in July 2019, with additional clustering features in August 2020.

TDengine supports Python, Java, C/C++, and some other types of interfaces

The Matrix Partners China led the latest funding round. Other participating investors include 

GGV Capital, Index Capital, and Sequoia Capital China.

In an announcement, IoT big data platform provider said that the funding will be leveraged for market expansion and technology development.
