Executive Opinion

Gerrit Kazmaier, Vice President and General Manager, Databases, Data Analytics and Looker, Google Cloud, said, "Data must be thought of as an ability that integrates all aspects of working with it. Every industry is accelerating their shift of being digital-first as they recognize data is the essential ingredient for value creation and the key to advancing their digital transformation. At Google Cloud, we're committed to helping customers build the most powerful data cloud solution to unlock value and actionable, real-time insights, needed to future-proof their business."

Tom Galizia, Global Chief Commercial Officer, Deloitte, said, "Google Cloud innovations continue with the powerhouse trifecta of Dataplex, Datastream and Analytics Hub. Deloitte will be a leading teammate in delivering these solutions with industry-critical tools for enterprise customers and institutions. What is truly powerful here is that Google Cloud solves for disparate and bespoke systems housing hard-to-access siloed data with enhanced data experiences. They've also simplified implementation and management for better decision making. We are truly excited to realize the market potential with Google Cloud's innovations for building data clouds."

GCP's addition to Database and Data Analytics portfolio

Datastream will work as a serverless change data capture (CDC) and replication service. It will help in replicating data streams from MySQL and Oracle databases to different Google Cloud Services. Some of the Google cloud services supported by Datastream service are BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Google Cloud Storage, and Cloud Spanner. According to Google, Datastream will help with database replication and event-driven architectures.

Moreover, Dataplex will work as a data fabric that will bring Google Cloud and Open Source together.  Dataplex solution enables the integration and analysis of data at scale. It will come built-in with the data intelligence and will be backed by the AI and ML capabilities of the company.

Analytics Hub will help users to create, curate, and manage analytics exchange. Google Cloud users will also be able to create dashboards and machine learning modules in their organization’s IT infrastructures.
