Genesys has now launched new capabilities to its Genesys Cloud in India that will allow the customers to keep their interactions and data in the country.

The new solutions target highly regulated industries that have stringent compliance and security standards. This even includes sectors of government, banking, financial institutions, and healthcare.

Genesys is a global leader in offering omnichannel customer experience (CX) and contact center solutions in the cloud and on-premises.

Olivier Jouve, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Genesys Cloud, said, "We’re expanding Genesys Cloud capabilities in India to help more Indian businesses reap the maximum benefit of the ongoing global cloud revolution by delivering the right technology, innovation strategy, and strategic partner ecosystem. We aim to put Genesys Cloud within reach for any organisation, enabling them to proactively understand and predict consumer behaviour for more effective and empathetic customer experiences."

Genesys Cloud Services

The company revealed that the solutions are compliant with the data sovereignty requirements in India. The regulations in question are related to the local Private Branch Exchange (PBX) for the domestic call ingress, no toll bypass, and the necessity to have call recording stored and available in the country.

Genesys has also announced that its cloud services are now available in 10 AWS regions across the globe. The company has new connectivity to the AWS Mumbai region.

Apart from the data sovereignty, having in-country data centers would also help with the reduced data latency and better communication with customers, Genesys claimed. The company claims to provide 99.99% uptime and compliance with global standards.

Genesys also revealed that its cloud solutions had experienced increased adoption by large companies. The company showcased 320% year-on-year growth in new enterprise bookings for the financial year 2020-21.
