Surgical Intelligence platform Theator secured $15.5M in Series A funding

Theator, a California-based Surgical Intelligence platform leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision to improve surgeon performance, has now secured $15.5 million in a Series A funding round.

Theator is founded by Dr. Tamir Wolf. It is a provider of AI-powered Surgical Intelligence solutions. Its platform is based on video analytics and smart annotation technology, which extracts and annotates key moments from surgical procedures, enabling surgeons to review operations and glean detailed insights within minutes.

Theator's Latest Funding

The Insight Partners led the latest funding round.  Other participating investors include Blumberg Capital and supported by all existing investors namely iAngels, StageOne Ventures, NFX, and KdT Ventures. To date, the company secured a total of $18.5 million. 

Theator plans to leverage newly raised funds to scale its commercial operations and partnerships with the US providers and grow its Research & Development team, notes the announcement.
