AI Image Editing platform autoRetouch secured €3.2M in Seed funding

autoRetouch

autoRetouch, a Germany based Artificial Intelligence supported image editing platform, has now secured €3.2m in a seed funding round.

autoRetouch is founded by Alex Ciorapciu. It uses an AI to let users perform the image editing operations, for instance, removing background or retouching skin. Editing with its Artificial Intelligence enables any stakeholder to get product images faster and easier while retaining full creative control.

The entire autoRetouch feature is designed for self-service, which includes the Ghost Mannequin feature, and are now available to lifestyle and fashion brands, creative and retailers.

Executive Opinion

autoRetouch co-founder and CEO Alex Ciorapciu, said, "Today, we offer the first commercial technology for fashion & lifestyle brands to efficiently speed up editing apparel images in bulk. If you’re selling online, customer experience is everything. More and better product images drive higher conversion rates and lower return rates. Through autoRetouch, we’re unlocking a significant amount of value, currently lost due to inefficient image editing technology, by giving the editor more time to focus on the creative work that might be needed and moving the heavy-lifting to the AI. We’re also helping retailers and brands of all sizes maintain competitiveness, or even to start competing in a purely digital world."

Holger Blecker, CEO Breuninger, said, "As a retailer in a very dense and competitive online market, we have recognized the importance of a good technological solution to significantly minimize the time between the photo shoot and getting the images on the product sales page. When we saw what the autoRetouch team could do with apparel images, we knew they were doing something that was previously thought impossible in image editing."

autoRetouch's Latest Funding

European apparel retailer Breuninger led the funding round.

The company, as of now, has plans to use the new funds to expand its team of data engineers and scientists, doubling down on its Research and Development focus while also starting to build initial customer traction.
