Skoda DigiLab collaborates with Lumos Labs & Microsoft for Blockchain based Solutions

Skoda Auto DigiLab India, has now collaborated with the Lumos Labs and Microsoft India to launch an enterprise blockchain startup program, reports Economic Times of India.

In partnership with Lumos Labs as the first original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for the discrete manufacturing track of the Microsoft Century Program, Skoda Auto DigiLab India is looking to curate more than 100 enterprise-grade blockchain solutions for the industry-specific use cases. DigiLab India will serve as the original equipment manufacturer for the program.

Pranav Kulkarni, CIO, Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd, said, "As the automotive industry continues to evolve, the onset of blockchain technology will be a defining transformation in the development and manufacturing of the next generation of cars. Through the Century Program, the DigiLab will foster this ecosystem of innovation among startups and identify implementable solutions in the space of digital tools and mobility platforms".

Lumos Labs CEO Raghu Mohan said, "Signing in Skoda Auto DigiLab India as our first OEM partner for the discrete manufacturing track is the first of our many small wins in collaborating with like-minded, innovation-driven enterprises and we look forward to joining hands with more partners".

The corporate SME bridge program will span over a time period of 18 months and offer selected startups opportunities to engage with industry experts and leverage the ecosystem of DigiLab India for business growth.

The blockchain program looks to find use cases in healthcare, telecom, discrete, media and entertainment, natural gas, trade finance, and oil and gas verticals.

Apart from that, Tech Mahindra has been signed as a first integrator partner for the DigiLab India in the area of discrete manufacturing.
