Wipro to offer commercial engineering services to OpenNESS

Wipro said that it would provide commercial engineering services for the Intel's Multi-Access Edge Computing Toolkit, OpenNESS across the globe.

OpenNESS helps the DevOps engineers to create and deploy solutions and applications at the network edge or on-premise edge locations. The open-source distribution of the toolkit fosters innovation and developer engagement with the ecosystem to create an edge and 5G solutions.

The partnership helps to strengthen Wipro’s 5G solution portfolio to help organizations gain real-time visibility and data insights for infrastructure management.

The partnerships build on Intel and Wipro’s ongoing collaboration to offer 5G and edge solutions using the architecture of the Intel’s FlexRAN.

Wipro also announced that its expertise in working with the FlexRAN, along with a cloud-native platform, such as OpenNESS, would help the company to deal with both RAN and application workloads on the same edge platform.
