Cognizant acquires Microsoft Public Cloud Transformation Specialists, New Signature

Cognizant has announced the acquisition of New Signature. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 2003, Washington based New Signature offers solutions based on Microsoft platform and claimed to be Microsoft public cloud transformation specialists.

President, Cognizant Digital Systems and Technology, Greg Hyttenrauch, said, "The pace of cloud adoption continues to accelerate across industries, with Microsoft's cloud solutions among the preferred technologies to help transform and strengthen businesses. Acquiring New Signature will enrich our cloud-first capabilities and complement our increasing strengths as a Microsoft partner. The acquisition helps Cognizant to enhanced its hyperscale cloud advisory services. It will also help Cognizant's Microsoft cloud solutions focused group.

The New Signature's acquisition will help Cognizant as a growth catalyst for its Microsoft Business group. 

The acquisition is expected to close in the third quarter of 2020. Also, New Signature's 500+ cloud experts from U.S., U.K., and Canada will join Cognizant's Microsoft Business group, notes the announcement.
