RapidAPI, a San Francisco based API marketplace, has now secured $25 million in Series B funding round.

RapidAPI is founded by the Iddo Gino. It offers an API Marketplace used by the developers to find, connect, and test to thousands of APIs – all with just a single account, SDK, and API Key.

Organizations can use RapidAPI to create a centralized hub environment to help developers reuse and connect to existing APIs faster while providing IT with enterprise-wide visibility and governance of API consumption.

Executive Opinion

Iddo Gino, RapidAPI Founder, and CEO, said, “With the proliferation of APIs across every organization, companies must begin to evolve beyond their current API infrastructure. RapidAPI’s next-generation platform is uniquely built for modern software development, connecting millions of developers with thousands of APIs and microservices while providing the documentation, code snippets, endpoints, and resources they need to create software more efficiently."

RapidAPI's Latest Funding

The round which brought the total amount secured to date to $62.5 million was backed by the DNS Capital, Grove Ventures, M12, Green bay Ventures, and Andreessen Horowitz.

The company, as of now, has plans to use the new funds to attract new API developers, build more functionality on RapidAPI's marketplace, and enterprise hub. The funding will be also leveraged to improve user experience and introduce additional functionalities for developers, notes the announcement.
