Airtel acquires 10% stake in conversational AI tech startup Voicezen

Airtel has now acquired a 10% stake in Voicezen, a startup focused on conversational Artificial Intelligence technologies, reports EconomicTimes.

Voicezen is founded in 2018 by the Apurba Nath. The company leverages machine learning, speech to text, AI, and voice technologies for its solutions. It offers real-time analytics to different brands to improve their customer experience.

Apurba Nath, Founder Voicezen, said, "With this strategic investment, we will work closely with Airtel to continuously improve our AI models and build out an enterprise-grade, battle-hardened product that will make customer interactions more efficient, especially in this post Covid world where business operations are facing large disruptions."

Adarsh Nair, Chief Product Officer - Bharti Airtel, said, "AI is a big focus area for Airtel given the deep positive impact the technology can have in transforming the customer experience. We are delighted to welcome Voicezen to the Airtel Startup Accelerator Program and look forward to partnering them in scaling these innovative ‘Made in India, for India’ applications and implement them in the real world."

Airtel's investment into Voicezen

With this investment, Airtel can now leverage Voicezen technologies for deployment across customer endpoints in multiple languages, notes the report.

The solution will be going to provide real-time analytics to Airtel conversations with its customers more engaging, and enable faster resolution.

It will also allow Airtel to make customized offers to customers based on real-time conversations.
