Zscaler to acquire Seattle based cloud security firm Cloudneeti

Zscaler announced its intention to acquire Cloudneeti. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 2017, Washington headquartered Cloudneeti is cloud security and compliance assurance company. Cloudneeti secured $300,000 to date, according to CrunchBase. As a part of the most innovative firm in the $35 billion security market, Zscaler is used by more than 5000 major organizations, which even includes the Fortune 500 companies.

Zscaler intends to leverage Cloudneeti's capabilities to fix infrastructure and other platform misconfiguration. The acquisition will also allow Zscalar to extend its data protection for software services applications to public cloud workloads.

Zscaler to expand Cloud Data Protection Capabilities

Zscaler would integrate Cloudneeti security posture management tools into its existing cloud security platform. The intended acquisition of Cloudneeti will help Zscaler to expands its data protection to public cloud workloads.

Cloudneeti’s capabilities will strengthen the data protection capabilities of Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler’s out-of-band Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), notes the announcement.

The transaction is expected to close by the end of May 2020.
