Cyient signs a deal with Hitachi to fast track Signaling Technology

Cyient has now signed a deal with the Hitachi Rail to deliver engineering services to accelerate the evolution of the latter signaling technology.

Cyient, which focuses more on the engineering services, revealed that it would develop and operate a central delivery center for the Hitachi Rail in the US and India, notes the announcement.

Cyient Limited is an IT company engaged in offering software-enabled engineering and geographic information system (GIS) services. The company services include Engineering, Manufacturing, Network Operations, and other telecom services.

This agreement is a reflection of Cyient’s credibility in building global partnerships in safety-critical industries such as rail transportation and a testimony to the value and competitiveness we bring to our customers."

The delivery center will offer services such as software configuration, application logic design, verification & validation, and hardware design for Hitachi’s global signaling projects that work on the proprietary interlocking software platform.

The company will also offer software development and configuration support for the Hitachi Rail’s signaling product. As of now, the financial details of the deal were not revealed.

Cyient also revealed that its deep domain expertise of more than 15 years of combined with Hitachi Rail Extensive Technical Expertise. The strategic partnership will also enable safer design and operations as well as make sure critical benefits to rail operators across the globe, notes the announcement.
