CircleCI

CircleCI, San Francisco based CI/CD platform has now secured $100 million in the funding round of Series E.

IVP led the latest funding round along with participation from Sapphire Ventures.

CircleCI is founded by Jim Rose in the year 2011. It is a continuous integration and delivery platform for software innovation at scale. The company has raised a total of $215M in funding over 8 rounds to date, according to CrunchBase.

Executive Opinion

Chief Executive Officer, CircleCI, Jim Rose, said, "CircleCI is built around the belief that CI/CD is at the heart of DevOps. This big bet that has been core to our strategy from day one and will continue to be as we look toward the future."

Partner, IVP, Cack Wilhelm, said, "CI/CD was once a cutting-edge development idea reserved for savvy technology companies, but now we’re seeing that expand to all companies. CircleCI is an especially attractive investment given the depth and complexity of the product and the underlying dataset they have observed over time on how great companies build and release software. We believe CircleCI will continue to further their lead as the strongest pure-play CI/CD platform available in the market, and we’re proud to be a party to that future.'

CircleCI's Latest Funding

The company intends to leverage the latest funding to deliver data and insights for users, focus on change validation, and support more complex software delivery needs, notes the announcement.

Post funding, IVP Partner executive, Cack Wilhelm, will be joining the CircleCI’s Board of Directors. The company also plans to use the funding to continue to scale and expand its business reach.
