Attentive raises another $40 Million in the extended Series C Funding Round

Attentive, a New York-based SaaS personalized mobile messaging platform for organizations, has now secured $40 Million in the additional funding round.

The Series C funding round now amounts to $110 million. Sequoia Hybrid Crossover Fund and Sequoia Capital Global Equities are joining as a new investor. Total funding raised to date is now $164 Million. The Series C funding round was revealed in the month of January 2020, backed by the IVP and Sequoia.

Founded in 2016, New York based Attentive offers personalized mobile messaging platform for organizations that uses the real-time behavioural data, to automatically send engaging text messages to each subscriber at every step of the customer lifecycle management.

Jeff Wang, the Managing Partner at Sequoia Capital Global Equities, said, "Attentive’s rapid growth is an indicator of how consumers are eager to find a more direct, personalized, and efficient channel to interact with businesses. We’ve been impressed by how quickly Attentive’s business has scaled, its strong customer momentum, and the expertise of the team. We are thrilled to increase Sequoia’s partnership with Attentive through our Global Equities fund."

Lucas Swisher, Partner at Coatue, said, "We’ve been closely analyzing the mobile messaging space, and it’s clear Attentive has emerged as the category leader. We’re excited to join Attentive’s Series C investment round and look forward to working closely with the team."

Attentive's Latest Funding

The company, as of now, has plans to use the new funds to further recruit top talent among different departments with an emphasis on the engineering, product, sales, and client strategy, notes the announcement.

Some amount of the funding will also be applied towards the creation of a fund that will help the beverage, eCommerce, food, retail, and educational institutions navigate the current climate by offering them access to the latest technology and proper strategic guidance.
