Tata Elxsi and Green Hills revealed Next-Gen Automotive Cockpit

Green Hills Software has partnered with IT solution vendor Tata Elxsi to build software-driven solutions for automotive cockpits.

The cockpit solution will address requirements in supporting the instrumental clusters, advanced driver assistance systems, and infotainment, which will now be available on a single chip.

According to the announcement, the Green Hills will support the eCockpit via integrity RTOS (real-time operating system), an OS built by the Green Hills. The Integrity OS will help the solution to consolidate different applications on a single processor.

The vehicle interface will be built on the Tata Elxsi’s Autosar 4.3 classic platform.

The Integrity RTOS has a microkernel architecture, which will help software teams to safely and securely partition software, which is running at different levels of importance.
