Qlik Technologies acquires RoxAI to extend its AI capabilities

Qlik Technologies has now acquired RoxAI to extend its AI capabilities with the help of an intelligent automation system, Ping. The financial terms of the deal are not disclosed.

Founded in 2017, EU based RoxAI provides an AI-powered Data Engagement Platform that helps organizations understand, interpret, and use enterprise data.

End-users on their own can leverage the Ping system to create use-case based advanced alerts. Ping will be packaged as a Qlik value-added enterprise solution in the first half of 2020, notes the announcement.

Executive Opinion

Qlik CEO, Mike Capone, said, "The limitation of most analytical dashboards and applications is that you have to go there to know what’s happening, or what’s changed. What we need is full-cycle integration between changes in the data, to analytics, to alerts and notifications that are immediately sent downstream to users or other systems. The combination of Qlik Data Integration, Qlik Data Analytics, and now RoxAI and Ping will provide customers with a real-time intelligence loop that drives actions."

Founder of RoxAI, Ranjit Bahia, said, "As data is democratized, users want to not only understand data but use it in real-time to manage their business by exception and automate business workflows. We’re excited about the opportunity for Qlik’s analytics user base to now benefit from intelligent alerts that drive action."

Qlik and RoxAI

RoxAI provides enterprise solutions via AI, ML, NLP, Blockchain, and Advanced Analytics to increase sales efficiencies.

In India, a major customer base of Qlik includes the Mahindra & Mahindra, BookMyShow, Bajaj Auto, HCL Technologies, Cisco, and Samsung. Ping is already in deployment at some of the customer's bases of Qlik, such as Benjamin Moore & Co.

Some of the current products of Qlik in data analytics workflow include Qlik Sense, Qlik Data Integration, and Qlik Insight Bot.

Qlik also plans to integrate Ping with workflow and robotic process automation (RPA) solutions through APIs along with proximity-based alerts, notes the announcement.
