TCS launches Microsoft Business Unit to help enterprises leverage AI, ML

TCS has now set up a Microsoft Business Unit to help the enterprises accelerate their Digital Transformation initiatives.

India's largest exporter has appointed company Veteran Siva Ganesan, who was earlier in charge of the transportation, travel, and hospitality business unit, to head a new unit, notes the announcement.

For the TCS clients under its Business 4.0 initiative, The unit will offer solutions and services leveraging Machine Learning, Cloud computing, and Artificial Intelligence technologies on the Microsoft technology platform, said the announcement.

Executive Vice President and President, Global Sales, Marketing and Operations at Microsoft Corp, Jean-Philippe Courtois, said, "Entire industries are transforming, and today every company is becoming a software company. Through this expanded partnership with TCS, we are significantly increasing our ability to enable our customers to take advantage of the opportunities to transform and accelerate into the digital era."

President, Business and Technology Services, TCS, Krishnan Ramanujam, said,
"We have been partnering customers across the world in their growth and transformation initiatives, leveraging our deep contextual knowledge of their businesses to creatively harness the power of new technologies, Location Independent Agile and our Machine First Delivery Model to reimagine their businesses and foster greater innovation. Our latest business unit dedicated to Microsoft technologies will deliver enhanced experiences and outcomes to our customers globally."

TCS and its Microsoft Business Unit

According to the announcement, the unit will use the company domain knowledge across the different industries and a global talent pool of around 50000 engineers. The expertise of talent pool on Microsoft Technologies will be leveraged to enhance employee empowerment, customer experience while optimizing operations apart from some of the developing innovations.

The new unit will also enable the enterprises to plug into the TCS co-innovation ecosystem while helping them to use the full stack of Microsoft technologies to differentiate from competitors, said the announcement.

Previously, in April, TCS partnered with Google Cloud to build industry-specific cloud solutions to accelerate digital transformation and improve customer experiances.
