Dropbox launches Spaces, its 'Smart' Collaboration Workspace

Dropbox recently launched Dropbox spaces, which is a smart and collaborative workspace built with machine intelligence.

Dropbox Spaces lets the users focus on some of the essential tasks at work and help them to stay in sync with their teams.

Spaces focus on reorganizing and bringing all the cloud content and local files together in one space so that teams can access everything from one central location.

It is now possible for Dropbox users to organize the local files, paper docs, Web shortcuts, cloud content, and more in just one place, so that searching for a file becomes convenient and hassle-free. Image search lets the user search for a file even without a file name. Other features include the Starred folders and files, Dropbox Binder, Paper Integration, and Search highlights.

Calendar Integration, Team highlights, and Content suggestions help users focus and prioritize projects

Apart from this, users will also be able to write overview descriptions and to-dos right on the folder. There are overview notifications that notify everyone whenever someone has made changes to a folder.

Comments in the Dropbox lets the users create and resolve comments right alongside with other files on the desktop. Finally, the HelloSign integration lets the users sign with just a few clicks.

Dropbox Spaces' upcoming Capabilities

Dropbox also plans to add support for the Trello so that the users can add the Dropbox content to Trello cards and preview files for seamlessly connected.

Moreover, Dropbox Transfer will also be introduced in the coming months. It will allow users to quickly and securely send large files with the password expiration and viewer info as well, the announcement notes.

Dropbox Spaces is currently available for the desktops at the Dropbox.com as well as on the mobile application of the Dropbox.
