TCS launches Ignio Cheetah, an upgrade to its AI Automation Platform Suite

TCS through its venture arm Digitate introduced an upgrade to its artificial intelligence / cognitive automation product, ignio Cheetah.

Founded in 2015, Digitate is a venture of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). TCS revenue stood at US $19.09 billion for the year ended March 31, 2018, and is listed on the BSE (formerly Bombay Stock Exchange) and the NSE (National Stock Exchange) in India.

Ignio, an AI platform, has more than 75 patents filed in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and intelligent automation space and claimed to be developed indigenously at the TCS Research & Innovation Labs. Ignio currently manages more than 1.5million technology resources for more than 50 clients. The alliance and channel partner program already has more than 10 partners on board.

According to the announcement, the latest upgrade ignio Cheetah brings in several new capabilities, such as intelligent events and alerts management, real-time detection and prediction of anomalous IT conditions, suppression of redundant or false alerts, aggregation of correlated events, and prioritization of alerts,intelligent incident handling, with auto-triage capability that learns from experience.

Global Head, Digitate, Dr Harrick Vin, said, “This is a significant milestone in our journey. The ignio Cheetah release will accelerate customer deployments and value realization. ignio Studio will also make it easier to extend cognitive automation to business functions across the enterprise.”

With its enhanced features, ignio Cheetah will accelerate the speed with which new customers can achieve similar benefits.”

The latest release introduces ignio™ Studio that is extensible to support new use-cases as well as new technologies. Along with it, the latest upgrade boosts the integration with third-party IT operations management tools with enhanced the blueprinting capability. The announcement further said that the product further uses real-time data streams to continuously refine the enterprise IT blueprint.

With cloud-first deployments, the ignio™ Cheetah supports multiple languages, SaaS engagement models, horizontal scaling to handle large enterprise environments and data volumes, and stronger security and safety controls, the announcement said.

In 2018, ignio suite helped TCS with significant revenue of $31 million.
