AWS launches SMB Vidyalaya fo Digitisation of Small Businesses


Amazon Web Services (AWS), the cloud computing arm of Amazon, has recently revealed a slew of new technology upskilling program for SMBs, reports different media outlets.

AWS, in a virtual event, revealed an educational program SMB Vidyalaya to digitally upskill small businesses via webinars covering the content across the 50 modules delivered using the AWS Cloud.

Puneet Chandok, President of Commercial Business, AWS India and South Asia at AISPL (Amazon Internet Services Pvt Ltd), said, "Cloud education is key to the success of India's large and diverse SMB market, and SMB Vidyalaya will help SMBs understand the business benefits of digital transformation and enable faster implementation together with AWS and our partners."

AWS revealed that the program would be available via a hybrid model, which combines online and in-person channels.

The programs would also offer access to different resources available on its India SMBHub and AWS Store on the Amazon Business Marketplace, along with a team of professionals to handhold SMBs in the technology stack.

AWS also further revealed that it is working with SMB-focused associations like the Noida-based World Association for the Small and Medium Enterprises (WASME) to create awareness about the program via educational videos, webinars, and product brochures.

The company has also revealed that it is expanding its Amazon Digital Suite of SMB-first software offerings, which is a comprehensive set of software solutions developed with the local third-party technology providers to help SMBs digitize their operations.

The suite has increased its SMBs solutions in areas such as customer support, accounting, and human resource to 27 now, including QuickHeal antivirus, ERP, MSwipe payment acceptance merchant app, and Onsurity employee health care solutions.
