Fujitsu launches New Research Center in India

Fujitsu has now revealed its new research center in India. The research center located in Bangalore aims to strengthen its focus on Research and Development (R&D) in the Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence technologies, as well as quantum software.

Fujitsu revealed that the number of its researchers will reach around 50 by the end of fiscal 2024. The group will also scale its research fields into security and some other areas.

It will also conduct software R&D in collaboration with Fujitsu's global network of research centers in the areas, which includes the US, Japan and Europe, to create software for global distribution.

As one of the key major initiatives, the company's India research center will also embark on joining research with the IIT-Hyderabad and the IISc, Bangalore, on promoting innovation in AI technologies.

The joint research activities will also initially focus on improving the accuracy and resilience of Machine Learning and AI technology.
