AI Production Tools startup Wonder Dynamics secured $9 Million Series A funding

Wonder Dynamics, a California based startup developing Artificial Intelligence-powered production tools, has now secured $9 million in a Series A funding round.

Wonder Dynamics was founded by Tye Sheridan. It is advancing the Wonder AI Suite, which is an Artificial Intelligence-driven, cloud-based content creation platform which is expected to launch in the year 2022.

Jonathan Tam from Horizons Ventures said, "We are very excited to lead this round for Wonder Dynamics to support Nikola and Tye’s vision. Wonder Dynamics’ AI-powered platform will significantly improve on cost and speed for media production and post-production, but more importantly, will enable creators to explore and generate new digital experiences that we could never have imagined."

Tye Sheridan, Co-Founder and President of Wonder Dynamics said, "As we got deeper into our development, we knew that this could be more than just software for Visual Effects. Our platform can be used for film and TV, but also video games, social media content, and even the Metaverse. This is why we were so excited to bring strategic partners like Epic Games and Samsung into this round, who are leaders in these fields."

The round, which brought the total amount secured over the past eight months to $11.5 million, was backed by Horizons Ventures with participation from Samsung Next and Epic Games and existing investors MaC Venture Capital and Founders Fund.

The company, as of now, has plans to use the new funds to expand the team of machine learning engineers and CG artists in order to expedite the development of the Wonder AI Suite.
