Dusseldorf based Conversational AI platform, Cognigy secured $44 Million funding

Cognigy, a Düsseldorf, Germany-based provider of a Conversational AI platform for omnichannel customer and employee service automation, has now secured $44 million in a Series B funding round.

Cognigy is founded by Philipp Heltewig in the year 2016. It offers a conversational AI platform to support customer service automation. Its low-code platform, which enables enterprises to automate contact centers for customer and employee communications using intelligent voice and chatbots.

The AI startup's client base includes global brands such as Vueling Airlines, Mobily, Bosch, Daimler, BioNTech and Lufthansa.

Philipp Heltewig, CEO of Cognigy, said, "The past four years have seen us emerge as a leader in the Enterprise Conversational AI space and we are extremely happy to be partnering with Insight Partners for the next phase of our journey. This investment will enable us to significantly expand our operations in North America, Europe and Asia, whilst maintaining our clear product leadership position and building on our strong industry partnerships."

Cognigy's Latest Funding

The round was backed by the Insight Partners with participation from the Global Brain, DN Capital, Nordic Makers, Digital Innovation, Inventures.

Post funding, Teddie Wardi, the Managing Partner at Insight Partners, will join Cognigy’s, Board of Directors team.

The company, as of now has plans to use the new funds to accelerate its global customer growth, create new partnerships, and continue to enhance its platform capabilities for companies to speed up enterprise-grade AI adoption.

The company is available in SaaS and on-premise environments and supports conversations in any language and on any channel, which includes SMS, webchat, phone, and mobile apps.
