Atos and OVHcloud to create a European Multi-Cloud solution

Atos and OVHcloud announced their strategic partnership go create a 100% European multi-cloud solution.

The cloud solution intends to leverage the Atos OneCloud solution launched in November 2020. Atos intends to invest around  €2 billion in the next 5 years for Atos OneCloud. The partnership also intends to leverage OVHcloud's cloud solutions.

Atos and OVHcloud's European Cloud

OVHcloud recently received a SecNumCloud label from the French National Cybersecurity Agency (ANSSI) to guarantee the highest security standard for their private cloud. Atos will also offer a security solution on top of OVHcloud.

Atos and OVHcloud are the founding members of the European Association for Data and Cloud, GAIA-X. The collaboration will help with compliance guarantees to the future GAIA-X framework, as well as for other EU privacy regulations like GDPR, notes the announcement.

The partnership will also allow their clients to leverage a network of more than 130 datacenters to host dedicated, private environments.
