Accenture to acquire Consulting and Technology services firm, Avenai

Accenture is now all set to acquire Avenai, an Ontario based provider of consulting and technology services. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Avenai is founded by Chris Brennan, Mike Scotten, and Brendan Timmins in the year 2012. It serves government and commercial customers in the Toronto region, supporting the key aspects of the business change, which includes process improvement, strategy development, organization culture transformation, and IT-enabled business transformation.

Jeffrey Russell, president of Accenture in Canada, said, "COVID-19 is leading many Canadian organizations to accelerate their technology transformations to ensure they come out ahead in this new reality, and that’s why we are adding significantly to our team of experts in Ottawa. We look forward to working with the Avenai team to help our clients transform to meet the challenges of today and the future."

With Avenai, a significant focus is on the public sector market, the acquisition will enhance the Accenture’s capacity to drive the latest technology transformation taking place across the public sector in Canada.

Post-acquisition, Avenai founders will join the Accenture as a Managing Directors in its strategy and consulting field. 

They will also continue to lead the team that they helped build at Avenai and will also work with the Accenture leadership across other practices to shape and pursue new business opportunities.
