Coop Sweden expands strategic deal with TCS to accelerate its Digital Journey


TCS has now expanded its deal with Swedish grocery retail chain Coop Sweden to develop a new digital core as part of the FMCG Company’s business transformation journey.

TCS will collaborate with Coop to transform several key business areas such as category management, store operations, logistics, finance, pricing, and master data and analytics.

TCS revealed that it would redesign the business processes to create a unified, real-time, process-centric view across the Coop’s retail operations that will create better stock visibility, a richer assortment of offerings, and optimized stock levels, and better availability at local stores.

Apart from that, TCS will handle organizational change management to help ease the transition to new systems via well-planned training, communication, and role change enablement.

The new digital initiative to be built by the TCS is even expected to increase with the agility, resilience, and adaptability of Coop’s retail operations.
