Data-Science platform, Pachyderm raised $16 Million in Series B funding round

Pachyderm, a California based enterprise-grade, open-source platform that enables scalable data science, has now secured $16 million in Series B funding.

Pachyderm is founded by the Joey Zwicker in the year 2014. It offers a machine learning-powered platform for machine learning pipelines. Its enterprise customers include AI development teams at the LogMein, Shell, AgBiome, Battelle Ecology as well as some of the multiple pharmaceuticals and government agencies.

Pachyderm also allows its customers with Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) teams to recreate data science experiments perfectly every time as well as comply with emerging AI legal standards, notes the announcement.

Pachyderm's Latest Funding

The round was backed by the M12, Microsoft Venture Fund, with participation from the YCombinator, Benchmark, and Jon Sakoda of Decibel Ventures, among others.

Post funding, Nagraj Kashyap, the Vice President and the fund’s Global Head of M12, will join the Board of Directors team at Pachyderm.

The company, as of now, has plans to use the new funds to accelerate hiring, continue building Pachyderm Hub and expand its vision to provide enterprises with repeatable and explainable data processing at scale.
