Wipro sets up Microsoft Business Unit to meet customers' Digital Transformation needs

Wipro has now announced the launch of its Microsoft Business Unit. The unit will focus on the development of the solution using Microsoft enterprise cloud services.

The new initiative is an outcome of Wipro's expanded global alliance with Microsoft to accelerate cloud adoption and digital transformation for its customers across the globe.

President and Chief Operating Officer, Wipro Limited, Bhanumurthy B.M, said, "Our newly formed Microsoft Business Unit will aid organizations in accelerating their innovation and modernization journey by leveraging Wipro’s deep domain expertise along with Microsoft’s futuristic enterprise-class offerings. With this partnership, we will co-innovate in industry domain services focused on data, analytics, security and customer/employee experiences."

Senior Vice President and Global Head, Technology Business Unit, Wipro Limited, Nitin Parab, said, "We are excited to expand our partnership with Microsoft. By integrating our unique offerings such as Cloud Studio, DDP, and LiVE Workspace™ with Microsoft’s Intelligent Cloud, we will be able to better address our customers’ digital goals."

Wipro and Microsoft Strategic Partnership

Wipro Microsoft Business Unit includes a team of trained and certified Azure workforce. The unit will offer domain-based solutions and solution accelerators.

One of the solutions, Wipro Cloud Studio delivers migration for different workloads on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Dynamic 365. Another solution, Wipro LiVE Workspace utilizes Microsoft Modern Workplace, Microsoft 365, as well as LUIS and the Power platform. It will help customers with intelligence workspace for apps and data. Wipro’s Data Discovery Platform (DDP) leverages Wipro HOLMES Artificial Intelligence and Microsoft Azure to deliver actionable insights to the customers.

Wipro, as of now, completed an Azure cloud migration project for facilities management and professional services company Mitie, notes the announcement.

Wipro and Microsoft have been strategic partners for decades. Wipro has also demonstrated its commitment to this relationship by investing in new industry-leading solutions for customers on the Azure platform.

In the year 2019, Wipro expanded Strategic Partnership with Google Cloud.
