Salesken.ai has recently revealed that it has secured $8 Million from Sequoia Capital India in Series A funding round, reports Economic Times.

The funding round also saw the investors such as Unitus Ventures and Michael and Susan Dell Foundation, which makes a partial exit from the startup.

Founded in 2018, Bangaluru based Salesken offers a revolutionary AI-based assistant to transform how sales conversations are conducted. The product gives you an incredible insight into the last mile of the customer salesperson interactions.

Executive Opinion

ET report quoted, Co-founder and CEO of Salesken.ai, Surga Thilakan, said, "Companies squander a third of their customer acquisition costs on preventable lead losses. They also face the unpredictability of sales outcomes and an inability to replicate success at scale. Salesken.ai helps them by enabling sales teams to adopt a more scientific approach to sales management in real-time during their customer conversations."

Managing Director, Sequoia Capital India, Shailesh Lakhani, said, "Inside sales have much unique management, training, and scaling challenges, but is often the most productive form of sales for companies across a range of industries. Salesken enables higher productivity for this segment of users and brings a step function in their performance."

Salesken's plans for Funds

According to the report, Salesken plans to leverage these funds for further development of its AI-based conversation intelligence platform. The company also plans to expand across the Asia Pacific and North American markets.

Salesken’s proprietary technology leverages Machine Learning (ML) and data science tools to learn successful sales tactics used by the top-performing salespeople and the best-selling practices across industries.

Salesken.ai also offers sales leaders with unparalleled visibility via qualitative analytics on the skill or knowledge gaps within their teams.

For Salesken, this is the first time when the company has raised the funds.
