Microsoft files Patent for a Crypto Mining System with the Human Body Data

Microsoft has recently filed a patent for a cryptocurrency mining system that use human activities, at the time of performing online tasks such as chatbots, reading an online advertisement, and using search engines, reports CoinDesk.

Microsoft is using basic human energy instead of the usual expensive power intense mining. This may seem a bit bizarre for the crypto-community.

The patent goes by the name as “Cryptocurrency using body activity data,”.

With this new development initiative, there would be no need for ASICs, as people would be able to mine crypto with the help of body activity data. The company revealed that it could be very straightforward for human body activity to mine cryptocurrency.

Major Opinion

The patent, revealed, "Instead of massive computation work required by some conventional cryptocurrency systems, data generated based on the body activity of the user can be a proof-of-work, and therefore, a user can solve the computationally difficult problem unconsciously”.

Microsoft further revealed out that the innovative mining process could replace the traditional computer-generated mining process that consumes a lot of power and energy.

The company also revealed that some of the tasks could increase or even reduce computational energy, depending on the amount of activity generated. Moreover, the crypto-mining system via body language data would work through a server that gives a command to a wearable device.

Microsoft, as of now has not told whether the innovative crypto mining system would depend on its framework or whether it would be based on innovative blockchain technology.
