Kubota partners Microsoft to accelerate its Digital Transformation

Microsoft announced that Kubota will leverage Microsoft's Azure Cloud Platform for its digital transformation.

Kubota is one of the biggest manufactures for farm equipment, engines, and construction machinery.

As a part of the partnership, IT infrastructure and SAP mission-critical systems from Kubota will be migrated to Azure cloud platform. Artificial Intelligence technologies from the Azure platform will be also used to deliver new solutions, notes the announcement.

Kubota, President and Representative Director, Yuichi Kitao, said, "Under the slogan of ‘For Earth, For Life,’ Kubota is trying to dedicate to solve global issues on food, water, and environment. It is indispensable to promote digital transformation to meet such issues in worldwide. This alliance with Microsoft is an important step for the digital transformation. We accelerate to create innovations and provide the solutions and the social value."

Microsoft, Executive Vice President, Judson Althoff, said, "Kubota is recognized as a leader in environmentally-compatible farming and agricultural equipment. Combining its deep industry experience with the power of Microsoft Azure and AI capabilities will enable delivery of new innovations that help feed a hungry planet, ensure access to clean water, and promote overall sustainability."

Kubota's Digital Transformation with Microsoft Cloud Technologies

Kubota intends to leverage Azure cloud platform's scale, flexibility along with latest technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The Azure cloud migration of Kubota's mission-critical systems will streamline its operations and accelerate the utilization of integrated data globally, notes the announcement.

Microsoft will help Kubota with their new AI Machine Learning lab to train its developers to deliver new AI-based solutions.

Kubota intends to leverage AI and Machine Learning technologies to deliver new services in the field of agriculture, water system infrastructure and the environment.
