Accenture acquired UK-Based Context Information Security platform
Accenture has recently acquired cyber defence consulting company, a Context Information Security from the former parent company Babcock International group.
The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed in the announcement. But Crunchbase reports that the transaction was done in $140 Million in all cash.
London headquartered Context Information Security was founded in 1998. Over a couple of years, it has expanded to include more than 250 employees and having its offices in Germany, Australia, and the United States. The company offers a high-end cyber defence, vulnerability research, intelligence-driven red team, and incident response services.
In January, Accenture also acquired Symantec’s Cyber Security Services business from Broadcom. The acquisition helped Accenture become one of the leader in managed security services offerings. Symantec’s Cyber Security Services brings a global threat monitoring and analysis to Accenture's security portfolio. The monitoring is done through a network of security operation centers, real-time adversary and industry-specific threat intelligence and incident response services.

Context Information Security Brings unique Capabilities to Accenture
Context will help to strengthen Accenture's existing security portfolio, which includes the Redcore, iDefense, Déjà vu Security, Arismore, and FusionX.With the help of this new acquisition, Context now forms part of the Accenture cyber-defence offerings, strengthening Accenture Security's existing portfolio, notes the announcement.
Context is perhaps best known for the role it has played in helping government organizations, financial institutions, and other clients respond to the threat of advanced cyber attacks. Context's caters its services to enterprises in the field of financial services, government, aerospace & defence and other critical infrastructure segments.
