LTTS wins Global Services deal from the Sweden's Dometic Group

LTTS partners with the Sweden's Dometic Group for engineering services

LTTS has received multi-year engineering services deal from Swedish Mobile living products, Dometic, to support the latter’s embedded, mechanical, and connectivity solutions.

According to India's National Stock Exchange filings, LTTS will set up a dedicated global engineering center (GEC) in Chennai. The GEC will help to streamline the product engineering roadmap for Dometic. Addiitianly center will help in designing and developing products for Dometic's global client base.

L&T Technology Services will also help Dometic with a faster time to market. Additionally, LTTS will transform Dometic's overall product lifecycle.

Dometic's Chief Technology Officer Anton Lundqvist, said, "Our ambitious growth plan includes new product and market areas, more focus on aftermarket and closer cooperation with our current and new supply base. This will require a new and more dynamic way of working to reduce time-to-market. We also see rapid changes in the marketplace, new generations with new expectations, connected products, and related services, power and energy with electrical vehicles, renewable energy, and general demand for sustainable products. To meet these new demands, we are partnering with LTTS as we aim to leverage from the company's engineering services and multi-vertical expertise."

Additionally, L&T Technology Services will set up a Centre of Excellence for Testing and Validating Products.

Dometic, manufacture products for use in the premium cards, trucks, recreational vehicles and pleasure, and workboats.  The intellectual property of L&Ts comprises close to 500 technology patents, which would add some value to the Dometic, notes the filings

LTTS is a subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro, which provides design, consultancy, and development services to clients in the areas of medical devices, telecom, industrial products, transportation, and hi-tech domains.
