With the most recent round, we now can rapidly build upon our unique competitive position in the global drone ecosystem. Our ability to combine intelligent software with off-the-shelf, cost-effective drones positions us well with enterprise customers, as they mature their drone adoption from PoCs and pilots to fully autonomous, multi-site drone operations."

More on FlytBase's development

The seed funding round comes as the company gains some of the traction for its commercial drone automation software, with a focus on high-value enterprise use cases such as wind turbine inspection, inventory management, public safety, and live remote drone operations.

The startup claims that its FlytOS and FlytCloud software offerings are compatible with all major drone and hardware platforms. With the IoT enterprise and architecture grade scalability, the platform suits a wide range of commercial drone use cases, supported by control systems, computer vision, robotics, and AI/ML technologies.

FlytBase has its Research and Development labs in Pune, India, at the Bhau Insititute, a leading engineering startup incubator.

In March, FlytBase received an Open Innovation Contest 9.0 championship award from NTT DATA, a leading IT services provider. The award recognized the world’s first Internet of Drones (IoD) platform for easily deploying intelligent drones connected with cloud-based business applications.
